IWE is the brainchild of Ms. Mareta Tovata and the culmination of more than ten years in the public relations arena.
Mareta started her event management career working with the Events Department of a radio station, Communications Fiji Ltd. She assisted in the staging of Rock Challenge
[now Tadra Kahani], the major annual national trade show Showcase, and Lucky Dube,
O’ Yaba and Boney M concerts.

In 2009, Ms.Tovata took the plunge and founded "I Wali". With her diverse background in Event Management, Public Relations and Promotions, IWE was the nautral "next step" in her career. Previously working as a freelance events consultant, Mareta made major contributions to success of the 3rd Melainesian Arts and Cultural Festival in her role as the Festival Promotions and Public Relations Officer.
The "Valenikuro" (kitchen) section of the Melanesian Festival highlighted indigenous Fijian cuisine of each of Fiji's provinces, is a testimony to her vision, creativity and organizational talent. While being Events Manager of the Fiji Red Cross Society, Mareta spearheaded of all the Red Cross events; the signature fundraising annual galas, namely the Red Cross Charity Ball, and the high profiled Red Cross Fashion Designer Awards. The prestigious Volvo and BMW 3 series were two products launched at the Red Cross Fashion Awards.
